Former NHL Arenas
Every arena an NHL team used to call home: 42 former homes of 25 of today’s 32 teams and 16 of clubs that have left the league or folded, 53 buildings in all. Each building has its own page with when it opened and closed and what stands there today; the ones that are still a rink in our directory link to their rink page.

How this list works
Each team’s former regular home arenas, oldest first, with the years the team played its home games there. Years are NHL seasons only: seasons a club spent in the WHA or another league before joining the NHL are not counted, and neither are one-off neutral-site games.
A relocated club’s arenas are listed under the team it became, with the name it played under at the time, like the Hartford Whalers under the Carolina Hurricanes. A building used by two clubs appears once for each.
